During periods of bad weather we get updates from Somerset County Council on the road conditions, we will publish any further updates as we receive them .  

Some interesting facts from Somerset County Council:
So far this winter we have treated 33,000kms of highway (20,500 miles) which is just over 3/4 of the earths circumference or equivalent to a straight line from Somerset to Adelaide in western Australia and back. We have used 3000T of salt.
We have 96 drivers and operatives supported by 28 staff (not all used on each action)
There are 23 dedicated vehicles used each time we treat the whole pre-treated network.
